Mrs. Pluma Lee Smith Conner, 93, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was born May 14, 1920 in Piedmont, Alabama the daughter of the late Mr. James Marion Smith and the late Mrs. Ethel Ola Faughender Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Douglasville. She was a Proverbs 31 woman that was devoted to the Lord and her beloved family. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Andrew Conner; brother, Leon Smith and sisters, Amy Smith and Lillian Smith. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and John Latham, Teen and Marshall Morgan, Pat and Raymond Worthan, and Gail and Clyde Defnall all of Douglasville; one son and daughter-in-law, Huey and Brenda Conner of Douglasville; sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Renfroe of Anniston, AL, Alma Whisenont of Gulf Breeze, FL, Helen Spoon of Piedmont, AL, Mamie Wallace of Montgomery, AL, and Marie and Wendell Ledbetter of Anniston, AL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Stephen Williams officiating.
