Polly Ann Edwards McPherson

Mrs. Polly Ann Edwards McPherson, age 83, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021. She was born May 5, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. William Samuel Edwards and the late Mrs. Eva Parker Edwards. She worked in accounts payable for a manufacturing company. Mrs. McPherson loved to read and write, enjoyed talking, spending time on the computer and playing with her dog, Shaggy. She was a member of Covenant Life Church in Bremen. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McPherson was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank McPherson, Jr.; her daughter, Marcy Lynn Bennett; her grandson, Zachary Parsons; and her sisters, Betty Edwards McCollum and Tillie Edwards Edgar; and her brother, Lamar Edwards. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Jim Manning of Rockmart; her son, Keith Sims of Dawsonville; her son-in-law, Alan Bennett of Lithia Springs; her brothers, Harold Edwards of Kennesaw and Hugh Lee Edwards of Marietta; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00PM with Rev. John Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
