Rachel Hope Cheek

Rachel Hope Cheek, 21, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. She was born on January 8, 1999 in Canadys, SC, the daughter of Jamie (Darin) Harwood and Gary Cheek. Rachel was a loving and compassionate person who loved animals. She worked as a manager at Pet Supermarket in Douglasville. If she could've had her way,, she would have adopted every animal she ever saw. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She loved to do theatrical makeup and worked as an actor in haunted houses. She loved to sing and had such an angelic voice. She loved acting silly and loved to laugh. She is preceded in death by her papaw Jim Bowles and her mamaw Carol Clark. Rachel is survived by her parents, Jamie & Darin Harwood of Douglasville and Gary Cheek of Douglasville; sisters, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Nikki Cheek and Ashlynn Harwood; boyfriend, Matt Clinton; her mamaw Dianne Bowles of Cherryville, Missouri; Grandma Kay Petroziello of Newnan, Georgia; Papa Mike and Jenny Harwood of Douglasville, Georgia and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
