Rachel Naomi Tyson, 92, of Winston, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026. She was born on September 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Grady O. Wadsworth and Flora Brown Wadsworth.

Rachel, also known as “Granny T” loved each and every member of her family unconditionally. Prior to marriage, she was a bookkeeper in Atlanta, then she met Don. She was a homemaker who took great pride in her family. Rachel enjoyed gardening and she and husband Don had one of the most beautiful gardens and lawn in Winston. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald Tyson; sisters, Doris Hilley, Estella Selman, Miram Trotter, and Sarah Wadsworth.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Chris Pannell of Villa Rica, Sandra Easter of Winston; sisters, Irona Taylor of Dallas, Norma Faye Kinnick of Buford, and Renee Davis of Killeen, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy and Cortney Pannell, Lisa Pannell, Tonya Fincher, and Tiffany Easter; great-grandchildren, Preston Easter, Mac Pannell, Mason McKinney, Gabriel Adair, Pearl McKinney, Alexis and Kolby Kemp; great-great grandchildren, Johnny Ballew and Kolt Kemp.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Chris Pannell, Jeremy Pannell, Mason McKinney, Kolby Kemp, Gabriel Adair, Preston Easter, Nayef Nabulsi, Mac Pannell. Honorary pallbearers, Johnny Kemp and Kolt Kemp.

The family will have a graveside service at Glenn Memorial Gardens, Villa Rica with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.

Flowers are accepted, however, contributions can be made to Ephesus Baptist Church in her memory.
