Rader Gene Tyson, 76, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday July 6, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Tyson was born December 15, 1931 in Carroll County, Georgia; the son of the late Rader Tyson and the late Willie Mae Tyson Garner. Mr. Tyson was a retired engineer with UPS and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Douglasville. He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie Suddeth Tyson; brother, John Norman Tyson, and sister, Betty Tyson. Survivors include his wife, Denise Allen Tyson of Douglasville; step daughter and step son in-law, Christy and Dave Gould of Alpharetta; two step sons and step daughters in-law, Anthony and Shannon Bates of Grayson, and Jason and Tabatha Bates of Savannah; and three step grandchildren, Mavric Gould, Elic Bates, and Abagail Stephens; Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Dr. Max Caylor officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
