Randee Moyer

RANDEE E. MOYER, 65, of Douglasville, GA, formerly of Phoenixville, PA, died peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2012 at home after a lengthy illness. Her wicked sense of humor and indomitable spirit will be sorely missed.Born on April 26, 1947, to the late C. Russell and Elizabeth Moyer, Randee was a 1965 graduate of Phoenixville Area High School and a graduate of Juliet Gibson Finishing School in Philadelphia, PA. Randee was a jack-of-all-trades whose career path included newspaper work, dog grooming, office management and catering, but the job she most enjoyed was working in security at Limerick Generating Station in Limerick, PA. Randee retired from Betzwood Associates in Kimberton, PA in 2007 as the office manager and adult babysitter. Randee loved cooking, crossword puzzles, smooth jazz, flamingos and laughing long and hard with the people she loved. Her love of animals was legendary, and she was never far from her canine and feline children. Randee is survived by a niece, Amy Serhienko; a nephew, Mark Serhienko; and two great-nephews, Dakota and Dylan Lantrip, all of Phoenixville, PA. She is also survived by her dogs, Shiloh, Ranger and Sammee; her cats, Oliver and Simon; and countless friends and neighbors whose lives were changed by knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents, C. Russell and Elizabeth (Herbsleb) Moyer; and a sister, Linda J. (Moyer) Serhienko. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 76 Seaboard Street, Hiram, GA 30141. Friends may call on the family from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the church. Burial will be private.
