Ray Alexander Nelson

Mr. Ray Alexander Nelson, 81, of Temple, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Georgia. He was born December 18, 1924 in Cobb County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. Willis Nelson and the late Mrs. Willie Hamilton Nelson. Mr. Nelson was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Nelson worked as a salesman for Honeywell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Olivia Davenport Nelson and his son, Ray Allen Nelson. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Ezra McEwen of Temple and Myra and Rex Carney of Dallas; his brother, Harold Nelson of Dallas; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Dr. Corky Addison officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Cross at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Georgia.
