Ray Ledue Anderson, 67, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. He was born on August 22, 1956, the son of the late Mallard Anderson and the late Fennie Kelly Anderson

Ray proudly served in the US Army, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his country. After his military service, he pursued a career as a surgical tech for many years. Beyond his professional life, Ray had a passion for motorcycles and guns. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Douglasville. Ray will be deeply missed by his loving family including his devoted wife, children, and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Buddy Anderson and Charles Anderson; sisters, Thelma Gordon, Beatrice Coleman, Jeanette Williams, Evelyn Baker and Shelia Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ledford Anderson, step-daughters, Melinda Brown of Dallas and Kim Ledford; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Jimmy Hildebrand of Douglasville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; friends, Jeff and Sharri Baker of Wasburn, TN; many nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM  at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglasville Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from the Douglasville Chapel at Jones-Wynn with Rev. James Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
