Ray Boyce Rowland, 73, of Villa Rica, Georgia; formerly of Lavonia, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 1, 2008 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center. Mr. Rowland was born September 25, 1934 in Gastonia, North Carolina the son of the late Wayne Rowland and the late Frankie Robinson Rowland. Mr. Rowland was a retired truck driver with a passion for antique cars and was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Ducktown, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean conflict, and also a long time member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and Legion of the Moose. Survivors include his loving wife of over fifty years, Mrs. Allene Burnette Rowland; children and their spouses, Boyce and Cheryl Rowland of Dallas; Beverly and Jeffrey Sapp of Carrollton, Bonita and Ronald Marcovecchio of Carrollton, and Beteana and Mike Crunkleton of Carnesville; sister and brother in-law, Jackie and Ray Stiles of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; brother, Roy Doyce Rowland of Greyson; grandchildren, Jeremy and wife, Jessica Rowland, Justin Rowland, Jason Sapp, Joseph Sapp, Andrew Gooden, Davie Ray, Samantha Ray, and Daniel Ray; and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, April 4, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Toby Cribbs, Sr., and Rev. Glenn Miller officiating. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
