Raymond Wilson Mooney

Raymond Wilson Mooney, 88, of Temple, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. He was born on June 14, 1934. He is the son of the late James Arvel Mooney and the late Ola Mae McClure.

Mr. Mooney was a carpenter who specialized in trim work. He built custom fireplace mantles for many people in the West Georgia area. Carpentry was Mr. Mooney’s passion. He also enjoyed working in the yard and doing landscaping.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mooney is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Mooney; and brother, James Lloyd Mooney.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Lynne Long and her husband, Jerry Long; sons, Raymond Charles Mooney, Douglas Morris Mooney and his wife, Jerri Lynn Mooney; sister, Dorothy Marie Cooper; and granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Williamson and her husband, Chad Williamson.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Mooney was cremated.
