Reba Tapley

Mrs. Reba Nell Tyson Bryant Tapley, age 94, of Villa Rica, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was born March 17, 1925 in Carroll County the daughter of the late Mr. John Grover Tyson and the late Mrs. Sara Caldonia Harper Tyson. Mrs. Tapley retired from the Carroll County Board of Education after many years of food service management. She joined First Baptist Church of Villa Rica on April 1, 1955, and was a faithful member for 64 years. She was a longtime member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and attended as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Tapley enjoyed spending time with all of her family, traveling, shopping, and eating out. She was an excellent cook and homemaker.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace Wilburn Bryant, on August 16, 1987; second husband, Rev. Ralph Tapley, on September 25, 2008; grandson, Joey Wade Wallace; two brothers, Ray B. Tyson and James W. Tyson; one sister, Flora Tyson Morrow.She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Max Wallace of Villa Rica, Judy and Julius Parrish of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Jewel Thomason of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Kevin and Taron Wallace of Douglasville, Derek and Tracy Parrish of Statham, Jeffrey and Mandy Wallace of Temple; Ginger and Phil Young of Social Circle, John and Meggan Wallace of Villa Rica, Mary Parrish and fiancé, Carlos Nieto of Newnan; twelve great-grandchildren, Jaxson Wallace of Douglasville, Maxsim Wallace of Douglasville, Nixin Wallace of Douglasville, Roxi Wallace of Douglasville, Autumn and Seth Gehle of Raeford, NC, Austin Parrish of Statham, Alexandra Parrish of Statham, Avery Parrish of Statham, Wesley Wallace of Temple; William Wallace of Temple, Sadie Young of Social Circle, Callum Wallace of Villa Rica; one great-great grandchild, Brooklyn Gehle of Raeford, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, June 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM from First Baptist Church of Villa Rica with Rev. Lamar Rackley and Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Hillcrest City Cemetery in Villa Rica. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
