Rebecca (“Becky”) Johnson, age 75, residing in Temple, GA, passed away on March 11, 2024 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Becky died as a result of pneumonia. She was born on July 11, 1948 in Coral Gables, Florida. She is the daughter of the late Benny and Millie Naranjo.
Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She worked in a number of positions for more than 30 years at BellSouth. She was God’s true and faithful servant and had a passion for bringing lost souls to Jesus. She was a prayer warrior and many have come to know Him because of her faithfulness. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she came to know Jesus and spent many years growing in her faith. She later became a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Becky made many lasting friendships at both churches that she cherished. She also loved to sing for the Lord. Becky had a huge heart and a special gift of caring for others.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Jesse Johnson; sisters, Pam and June Naranjo; and half-brother Carroll Hanna.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Walter Betit; granddaughter and family Meghan and Michael Kinzie and their children Brennen, Alaina and Brielle; grandson Jeremy Smith; granddaughter and family Lauren and Ryan Ware and their children Willow and Olivia; sisters T.L. Naranjo and Kim Jenett and Kim’s husband Joe; brother-in-law and wife Phil and Redonia Johnson; sister-in-law and husband Candy and Glenn Rainwater; sister-in-law Cheryl Johnson; sister-in-law and husband Angie and Glenn Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Becky will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Baptist Church in Douglasville.
