Rebecca Lee Miller, 78, affectionately known as “Becky”, of Douglasville, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born on December 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Lowell Thompson, Sr., and Gladys Parsons Thompson.
Throughout her life, Rebecca embodied a hard worker's ethic, dedicating herself not only to her family but also to all those she encountered. Her selfless nature and energetic presence were felt by everyone fortunate enough to know her. Rebecca's personality shone brightly; she was loving, caring, and deeply family-oriented. Those who were part of her life will remember her warm smile and the way she always made time to help others. Celebrating the joy of Christmas time was infectious, bringing happiness to her home and her loved ones during the holiday season. Rebecca was a cancer survivor, a testament to her resilience and determination, which inspired many as she faced her challenges with grace.
In her leisure, Rebecca found joy in her interests. She had a fondness for soap operas and delighted in attending local festivals. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and painting. She also poured her heart into baking and cooking, creating delicious meals and treats for her family and friends.
Rebecca Lee Miller leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, strength, and love. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her, as she touched countless lives with her selflessness and vibrant spirit.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty seven years, Edward L. Miller; children, Bobby Miller and Darlene Miller; grand-daughter, Jeanette.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony (Angel) Miller and Gary (Brandi) Miller; sisters, Barbara Harmon and Fridel Ridings; brother, Lowell Thompson, Jr; four grandchildren, Tyler (Lexi), Mercedes (Mahmood), Savoy, and Kaleigh; great-grandchildren, Alina and Alissa; several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. A memorial service will take place at Straightway Full Gospel Church in Douglasville, GA, at a later date.
