Rebecca Wilson Gilbert

Mrs. Rebecca Estell Wilson Gilbert, age 84, of Douglasville, passed away January 15, 2014. She was born November 10, 1929 in Douglasville, the daughter of the late Mr. Herbert E. Wilson and the late Mrs. Onie Clyde Harper Wilson. She worked for Parkway Regional as a nurse for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Gilbert; brother, John Wilson. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Jolly of Douglasville, Juanita and Mark Iannarelli of Douglasville, Connie and Donald Klingensmith of Temple; sons and daughters-in-law, Merritt and Barbara Gilbert of Winston, Charles and Lisa Gilbert of Douglasville; sister, Ophelia Ellis of Carrollton and Mary Ellen Hames of Winston; fourteen grandchildren, John (Melissa) Roberts of Dallas, Tonia Parker of Augusta, David( Michelle) Gilbert of Yazoo City, Ms., Michael (Carli) Gilbert of Bonney Lake, WA, Brandon (Casey) Presley of Villa Rica, Brandi (Jeremy) Landrum of Winston, Miriam (Aaron) Sua of Raleigh, NC, Christel Gilbert of Milwaukee, Wisc., Jenna (Rick) Swengros of Montgomery, AL , Rush Gilbert of Douglasville, Kimberly (Merritt) Schatz of Douglasville, William Clay Driskell of Douglasville, Angela (Jason) Lucus of Douglasville, Charles Wesley Weaver of Villa Rica; twenty great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday, January 20, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
