Rev. Curtis John Cole, 83, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 at his residence. Rev. Cole was born October 10, 1924 in Paulding County, Georgia; the son of the late William Lafayette Cole and the late Molly Leigh Hulsey Cole. Mr. Cole was retired from the Georgia State Department of Transportation and was a member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Buchanan. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Mae Dewberry Cole; daughter and son in-law, Cynthia and Doug Robinson of Buchanan; sons and daughter in-laws, Larry and Delores Cole of Douglasville, and Tracy and Sandra Cole of Waco; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 2:00 PM from White Oak Springs Baptist Church in Dallas, Georgia with Rev. Jeff Byrd, Rev. Charles Williams, and Rev. Earl Partain officiating. Mr. Cole will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at White Oak Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family residence located at 2309 Liberty Church Road in Temple, Georgia on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
