Rev. Frankie Ralph Bennett

Rev. Frankie Ralph Bennett, 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2006. He was born September 1, 1933 in Douglas County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Bruce Bennett and the late Mrs. Elsie Craton Bennett. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Douglasville. He married Earline Hembree on July 2, 1960 in Douglas County, Georgia. He retired from A&P Grocery Store after many years of service. He was an avid sports fan enjoying the Braves, Falcons, and Georgia Bulldogs. He enjoyed golfing and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Earline Hembree Bennett of Douglasville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Greg Richardson and Janet Bennett all of Douglasville; one sister, Betty Bennett Morris of Douglasville; five grandchildren, Rev. Gregory and Lisa Richardson, Kimberly Richardson, Kristin Wilson, Kandis Wilson, and Kendall Palmer; 1 great grandchild, Talan Bennett; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Second Baptist Church of Douglasville with Rev. Johnny White, Rev. Gregory Richardson, and Rev. Bobby Wood officiating. Rev. Frankie Ralph Bennett will lie in state at the church from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor David McLendon officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Mike Morris, Tim Morris, Phil Morris, Phil Richardson, Kim Palmer, and Lee Whaley. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
