Rev. Thomas Andrew Garner

Rev. Thomas Andrew Garner, age 84, of Temple, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 09, 2010 at his residence. He was born March 1, 1926 the son of the late Mr. Ralph Garner and the late Mrs. Dovie Blair Garner. He taught men’s Sunday school classes at Faith Baptist Church. He pastored at many local churches retiring from Mt. Zion East Baptist Church in Haralson County In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Garner; son, Tommy Ray Garner; sister, Frances Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife Mildred Garner of Temple; son and daughter-n-law, Roy Neal and Mary Garner of Atlanta; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Cliff Sanders of Temple, Donna and Michael Johnson of Temple, Diane and Tony Gordon of Temple; four grandchildren, Matthew, Christina, Brittany and, Brandi. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. Tony Gordon and Rev. Travis Prichard officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion East Baptist Church Cemetery in Haralson County.
