Richard "Rick" Gary Beck

Richard "Rick" Gary Beck, 76, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 surrounded by his loving family and best friend Cindy. He was born on October 6, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Margaret Russell Dixon Beck and Claude Oliver Beck. He lived a life full of laughter and wonderful memories.

Rick enjoyed having a good time with his friends - he could often be found dancing, drinking a couple of beers, enjoying a warm meal at The Varsity in Atlanta, or spending time at Reid's Deli in Mableton during his free time. He was most known for his free-spirited personality, his wittiness and sense of humor, as well as his beautiful hair. Rick had a special love for his wife, children and grandchildren, who made his life whole.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Shane Dooley; sisters, Barbara Terry, and Joyce McMichen; and brothers, Edward Travis Beck, and Billy Beck.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Mrs. Doris Ray Beck; daughter, Tasia Beck; sons and daughter-in-law, James (Emily) Alexander, and Jason Alexander; sister-in-law, Gail Beck; eleven grandchildren; Alexus, Caleb, Braedan, Surae, Serenity, James III, Brison, Scarlett, Skylar, Grady, and Giovanni; one great-grandchild, Harmony, and a second on the way, Paisley Mae; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins who will all miss him dearly.

The family of Mr. Richard Beck would also like to extend their gratitude to the many nurses at Amedisys Hospice that helped care for Mr. Beck in his final days.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville at 2:00 PM and the memorial service will be follow at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026.
