Richard Spencer Hunt, Sr.

Mr. Richard Spencer Hunt, Sr., age 69, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 25, 2009 at his home. He was born July 11, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the son of Mrs. Estella Choice Hunt and the late Mr. Raymond Hunt. He owned and operated a General Contractor Business. He was an active and devoted member of Victory Baptist Church in Douglasville where he served as a member. Mr. Hunt served on the Beautification Committee for River Breeze Homeowners Association and in his spare time enjoyed boating. He was devoted to his family and was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Josephine Taylor Hunt of Douglasville, GA; daughters, Quanda Peterson of New Jersey, Malaika Lynch of San Ramon, CA, Kawanna Taelor Hunt of Douglasville, GA, Myishea Griffith of Douglasville, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Spencer Hunter, Jr. of New Jersey and Allan Hunt-Burnham and Rhonda Hunt-Burnham of Vallejo, CA; his beloved mother, Estella Choice Hunt of Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Estelle “Shirley” Myers and Doris Pyor both of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Raymond Hunt of Fairfield, CA; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. Richard Spencer Hunt, Sr. will be conducted Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM from Victory Baptist Church in Douglasville with Rev. James Cook officiating. Mr. Hunt will lie in state at the church from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Victory Baptist Church on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Richard S.
