Richard Strickland

Mr. Richard William Strickland, Sr., age 55 of Winston, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born May 15, 1963, the son of Mr. Frank Redman Strickland and the late Mrs. Ludie Mae Strickland. He lived life to the fullest, never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. Mr. Strickland lived for his family, no one came before them. He was a life time member of Friendship Baptist Church.In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandchild, Shyann Strickland; brother, Hubert Frank Strickland. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Nicole Strickland, Jr. of Winston, Frank “Spanky” Strickland of Winston, Joey and Chelsea Strickland of Rincon, Christopher “C.J.” Strickland of Winston; father, Frank Strickland of Winston; girlfriend, Holly Daniel; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Lonnie Ard of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Cathy Strickland of Temple; five grandchildren, Blake, Caitlyn, Leighann, Rylan, and Caroline; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Evans officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
