Richard Sherman Webb

Mr. Richard S. Webb, age 82, of Whitesburg, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, He was born February 25, 1941 in Douglasville to the late Mr. Dewey Webb and the late Mrs. Sarah Cox.

Richard's passions in life were as diverse as they were cherished. From spending peaceful days fishing by the water to tending to his garden. Alongside his dear Mrs. Webb, Richard engaged in friendly bowling competitions. Known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, Richard Webb lit up every room he entered. His ability to connect with others on a deep level meant that he never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lois Webb; sister, Barbara Butler.

He is survived by his son, Ricki (Lorrie) Webb of Douglasville, Von (Heather) Webb of Villa Rica, Andi (Ellisia) Webb of Villa Rica; daughter, Judy (Mark) Hester of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Rachael, Hannah, Kaz, Richard, Mark, Kacey, Avery, Brody; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mike Powers officiating. The interment will take place at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
