Mr. Robert Daniel “Bob” Baker, a beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the age of 57. He was born on May 26, 1969 in Lancaster, South Carolina to the late Mr. Charles Lafayette Baker and the late Mrs. Katherine Eloise Mills Baker.
Bob will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father figure, and role model whose life was marked by devotion to those he loved. He was a protector and a provider for his family, a man with an optimistic outlook who encouraged others with steady support and kindness. Known for being a big jokester with a great sense of humor, Bob never met a stranger. His warm and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and also served through his work with the United States government. His commitment to service reflected the same strength, dependability, and sense of duty that shaped every part of his life.
Outside of his work and service, Bob found joy in the things he loved most. He was an animal lover with a big heart, and music was one of his great passions, especially metal and rock & roll. To his family, he was also a magnificent “Opi,” a role he carried with love and pride.
Bob’s life was one of encouragement, laughter, and steadfast care for others. He leaves behind the memory of a man who gave freely of himself, stood strong for his family, and brought comfort and humor wherever he went. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
