Mr. Robert âBobâ Bascom Cochran, 92, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 22, 1912 in Fulton County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. William Bascom Cochran and the late Mrs. Nannie Laura Magee Cochran. He was a member of the Midway United Methodist Church. He worked for Atlantic Steel Company for many years and retired from Simmons Mattress Company. Mr. Cochran was a farmer and farmed up until his health declined. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Jessie Pearl Morris Cochran; his sisters, Inez Little, Willie âBillâ Giles, Bessie Williams Meadows, Elsie Gordon, and Beatrice Standley; his brothers, Merritt Cochran and Hubert Cochran. He is survived by one sister, Mary Giles of Douglasville; two sisters-in-law, Mary M. Smart of Covington and Elizabeth M. Berry of Fairburn; niece and nephew, Martha Ann and Curtis Little of Douglasville and several other nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 11:00 AM from Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs with Dr. Orin Sampson officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Friday, June 24, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
