Mr. Robert "Bob" M. Parr, age 83 of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024. He was born November 11, 1940 in Douglasville to the late Mr. Robert Parr and the late Mrs. Lucy Parr.
Bob dedicated his life to serving his community both as a firefighter and as a member of the US Army. Beyond his professional life, Bob was known for his exceptional ceramic tile work, a skill that he shared with many over the years. A man of deep faith, Bob was a long-time member of Ephesus Baptist Church. He had a profound respect for spiritual teachings and enjoyed listening to messages from TV and radio evangelists. His belief in the power of community led him to be actively involved with "Builders for Christ," a group dedicated to building and remodeling churches—a true reflection of his generous spirit. In his leisure time, Bob found joy in square dancing. His vibrant personality and dedication to spreading joy will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of dancing alongside him.
