Robert Bowman, Sr.

Mr. Robert Marlin Bowman, Sr., age 78, of Powder Springs, passed away, Wednesday, May 9, 2018. He was born April 6, 1940 in Alabama, the son of the late Mr. Chester Bowman and the late Mrs. Bernice Austin Bowman. Mr. Bowman served in the United State Army. He loved fishing, traveling, and driving everywhere he went. He loved his family most of all, always putting them first. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Clay Bowman; son, David Dale Bowman; brother, Morris Bowman. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Jerry Hayes of Rockmart; son, Robert Bowman, Jr. of Powder Springs; sisters and brother-in-law, Marynell and Edward Robinson of Villa Rica, Bonnell Cantrell and Jerry Thornton of Alabama; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mac and Minnie Pearl Bowman of Alabama, Mitchell “Bo” and Shirley Bowman of Nebraska, Wallace and Deborah Bowman of Buchanan ; two grandchildren, Shawn Millians and Ashley Millians; four great grandchildren, Aydin Millians, Anna-Lynn Millians, Amir Talhouk, Alec Talhouk; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will received friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, May 11, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00 Pm from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Costner officiating.
