Robert C. Baskin

Mr. Robert C. Baskin, 89, of Bolijeri Blvd; Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, October 26, 2007 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. Mr. Baskin was born July 15, 1918 in Carroll County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Thomas Clark Baskin and the late Mrs. Lillie Wynn Baskin. Mr. Baskin was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He was a retired mechanic instructor and a member of Concord United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school and was a lay minister. He dearly loved his family and church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Gibson Baskin. Survivors include daughters and son in-law, Grace and Michael Mayfield of Villa Rica, and Bobbie Baskin Carter of Columbus; sons and daughter in-law, Carl and Kathy Baskin of Sugar Hill, John Baskin of Temple, and Tom Baskin of Villa Rica; cousin, Jane Long; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 29, 2007 at 11:00 AM from Concord United Methodist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Gary Whatley and Rev. Gary Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Concord United Methodist Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia.
