Robert Dale Smith

Mr. Robert "Dale" Smith, age 57, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020. He was born October 3, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Mr. Robert M. Smith and the late Mrs. Betty Faye Ott Smith. Mr. Smith raced cars for years at Lanier Raceway. He loved fishing, working and tinkering, cutting firewood and cooking. He enjoyed rock n roll music and was an animal lover, especially dogs. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Sherry Darlene Norton Smith; his daughter, Jessica Michelle Smith of Carrollton; his step-daughter, Sharlotte Baine of Covington; his father, Robert M. Smith and step-mother, June Hyde Smith of Cedartown; his sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Darrell Newborn of Lithia Springs; his step-grandsons, Michael Lee Zirlott and Brian Levi Zirlott; and two nephews, William Newborn and Robert Newborn of Lithia Springs. According to Mr. Smith's wishes, he will be cremated. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 3:00PM until 6:00PM.
