Robert William Elliott, Sr.

Robert William Elliott, Sr., 98, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on December 15, 2023. He was born on December 17, 1925, in Shelby, North Carolina, to the late Mr. Ernest Elliott and the late Mrs. Lucy Spangler Elliott.

Robert was a man of Christian faith. He was also a retired Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton and John Elliott; wife, Nancy; son, Robert "Robbie" Elliott, Jr.

He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Patricia "Trish" Kimrey; daughter, Elizabeth Sawyer; grandchildren, Melody and spouse Steven Shelton, Amber Sawyer, Kevin Elliott and spouse Tiffany, Katie Elliott; great-grandchildren, Kyndall and Declan Elliott; daughter-in-laws, Angie and Cathy Elliott. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Hal and Kim Hessler as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
