Robert Franklin Phillips

Mr. Robert Franklin Phillips Mr. Robert Franklin Phillips, age 80, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, March 13, 2009. He was born February 14, 1929 in Butler, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Ernest Phillips and the late Mrs. Florence Hendrix Phillips. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He worked as the chief engineer for Douglas County Hospital. Mr. Phillips was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Allie Mae Phillips of Douglasville; daughter, Theresa Phillips of Hoschton; granddaughter and her husband, Andrea and David Nichols of Douglasville; daughter-in-law, Vicky Williams Phillips; sister, Earlene Rogers of Thomaston; brothers, Billy Gene Phillips of Thomaston and Nealon Phillips of Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
