Robert Hanson

Mr. Robert Merevyn Hanson, age 82, of Carrollton, passed away, Saturday, December 9, 2017. He was born June 16, 1935 in Carroll County the son of the late Mr. George Martin Hanson and the late Mrs. Fannie Lou Womack Hanson. Mr. Hanson owned and operator an Auto Mechanic Shop for many years.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hanson and sisters, Edna Collins, Inez Hanson, Ovie Steadham, Louise Chance and Annie Mae Farr. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Oron Truitt Hanson of Carrollton; daughters and their spouses, Gail and Grady Reynolds of Carrollton, Robin and Gregg Hendrix of Bowdon and a special son and his spouse, John and Johnnie Truitt of Carrollton; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Rudene Hanson of Carrollton; grandchildren, Brooke Hendrix Gibbs (Adam) of Carrollton, Bridget Hendrix Williams (John) of Douglas, Brittany Hendrix Parrish (Taylor) of Villa Rica, Allison Reynolds Phillips of Willingham, NC; great-grandchildren, Pate and Blakely Williams of Douglas, Hannah and Bradley Gibbs of Carrollton and Amelia Grace Parrish of Villa Rica; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Monday, December 11, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Luke, Rev. Josh Strickland, and Rev. Michael Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Luke and Rev. John Williams providing committal. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
