Robert James Jeffares

Mr. Robert James Jeffares, age 81, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 28, 1927 in Crisp County, Georgia the son of the late Howard and Callie Jeffares. He married Gladys Cassell on September 4, 1964 in Douglasville. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a carpenter. He was a member of Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Cassell Jeffares of Lithia Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Lynn and Kenneth Harbaugh of Villa Rica and Linda Sue and Randall Wilcox of Temple; two sons, Eddie James Jeffares of Douglasville and Robert Wayne Jeffares of Lithia Springs; sister, Hazel Benefield of Douglasville and brother, Tommy Jeffares of Douglasville; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Shirley and Pastor Mack Lively officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
