Mr. Robert Samuel Martin, age 93, of Villa Rica, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He was born May 28, 1919 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Sam Benjamin Martin and the late Mrs. Martha Ann Boyd Martin. Mr. Martin served in the United States Army in the South Pacific during WWII. He retired from Harold Smith Shell Stations after twenty years. He was a member of Crossroads Full Gospel Church for thirty five years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Louise George Martin; grandson, Anthony Dwain Duffie; granddaughters, Twyla Wallace Mickey and Betty Joy Martin; brother, Monroe Martin and sisters, Ovie Martin Perren, Lula Martin and LuEllen Fendley; daughter-in-law, Joyce Martin. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah Alford Toole of Carrollton, Judy and Delmar Bankston of Temple, Rachel and Dwain Duffie of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Martin of Temple; thirteen grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, August 17, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Williams and Rev. Wayne Landmon officiating.
