Robert Mitchell

Mr. Robert M. Mitchell, 85 of Winston, GA passed away, Monday, Sept, 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born, April 16, 1929 in Waynesville, Missouri, the son of the late Homer Eugene Mitchell and the late Florence Ruby Maze Mitchell. He was twice retired, first as a Staff Sargent from the United States Army after 20 years of service and then again from the United States Postal Service as a driver after 22 years of service. He attended Faith Deliverance Church and Victory Tabernacle Church. He was affectionately known as the “Hallelujah Man”. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Hinsler. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Patricia Ann Winter Mitchell of Winston, sister, Judy Bragg of Missouri, brother, Bill Mitchell, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Winter and Bro. Roger Luke officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenn Memorial Garden with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Shane Banks, Sean Vanloo, Noah Banks, Freddy Wadsworth, I.L. Smith, Jack Wingo, Bill Vanloo and Keith Wingo.
