Mr. Robert William “Bobby” Rogers, 63, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Douglas Wellstar Hospital, in Douglasville, Georgia. Mr. Rogers was born May 19, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. Holbert Rogers and Mrs. Jane Long Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Bolton Masonic Lodge # 416 having served as Past Master and was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in Mableton. He was a retail sales and finance representative for Farmers Furniture. Mr. Rogers served his country in the United Sates Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his parents, his wife Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison Rogers, preceded him in death. Survivors include one son and daughter- in-law James Edward, (Jennifer Ann) Rogers of Lithia Springs, one brother and sister-in-law Thomas Edwin and ( Melanie) Rogers of Smyrna, and one grandchild Christian Jacob Rogers of Lithia Springs. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev.. John Spangler and Rev. Johnny Hightower officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, February 1, 2008, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
