Clayton Rowland

April 18, 2001 — March 8, 2025

Villa Rica

Robert Clayton Rowland, 23, passed from this life on March 8, 2025 after a long battle with addiction.Clayton was born April 18, 2001 in Carrollton, Georgia to Robert L. Rowland of Whitesburg, Georgia and Stacey L. Rowland of Villa Rica, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas R. Morris Sr., and his uncle, Benjamin A. Rowland. He was a 2019 graduate of Carrollton High School and was enrolled in West Georgia Technical College. He was employed at Tractor Supply in Bremen and volunteered at Understand Up! International Ministries, Inc. in his spare time. Clayton loved music, movies, collecting knives and every kind of food. Nicknamed “Beans” by his cousins, he enjoyed hanging out at his Aunt Becky’s house, playing Roblox and recording silly videos. He was a mischievous jokester whose pranks nearly always went hilariously wrong. He kept us in stitches with his chipmunk laugh and goofy one-liners, and his description of himself as “fat on one side and skinny on the other” is firmly entrenched in family lore. During his too-short time on earth, Clayton had a profound impact on his many friends and loved ones with his kindness, loyalty and humor. He always loved everyone else more than himself, and he never missed a chance to tell us so. His passing has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Sgt. Caleb Dorsett of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, and his sister, Cameron Dorsett (Isaac Carluccio) of Macon, Georgia; grandparents, Bob and Peggy Rowland of Whitesburg, and Patsy Morris of Villa Rica; uncles, Thomas R. Morris Jr. of Villa Rica; Richard (Brenda) Rowland of Hiram, Georgia and Randall (Ashley) Rowland of Newell, Alabama; and his aunt, Rebecca Rowland (Gary) Leftwich of Carrollton.Clayton is mourned by his cousins and best friends, Andy Rowland, Asher Leftwich, Emory Leftwich, Savannah Rose (Alexander) Leftwich-Talley, Maggie Rowland, Jack Rowland, Alex Rowland, Nicki (Micah) Veale, Mikayla Morris and Mikenzie Morris.
