Robert Shadrix

Mr. Robert Carl Shadrix, age 74, of Temple, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was born October 21, 1941 in Buchanan, GA the son of the late Mr. Ollie Marion Shadrix, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lois Keaton Shadrix. Mr. Shadrix was called to preach at the age of seventeen, pastoring to several churches in the West Georgia Area. Most of his earlier years were spent at Fullerville Baptist Church, while his later years were at Draketown Baptist Church. He retired from Ford Motor Company after many years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Weagle.He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Rowe Shadrix of Temple; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Alea Shadrix of Carrollton; sister, Patty Ariel of Douglasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Linda Shadrix of Villa Rica, Ollie and Betty Shadrix of Dallas, Wendell and Judy Shadrix of Villa Rica, Jerry Shadrix of Douglasville, Gary and Diane Shadrix of Villa Rica, Terry and Deborah Shadrix of Hickory Level; three grandchildren, Luke, Jacob and Colt Shadrix; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Horace Wilson and Bro. Ollie Shadrix officiating. Interment will follow at Centerpoint Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ricky Shadrix, Mike Shadrix, Rick Ariel, Steve Shadrix, Daniel Shadrix and Jared Shadrix.
