Robey L. Hood

Robey L. Hood, age 81, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, March 4, 2011. Mr. Hood was born August 7, 1929, son of the late Arthur and Celia Hood of Lithia Springs. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Dial Hood. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Anderson, S.C., a Mason, and a Shriner. Mr. Hood was a retired District Manager with American General Life Insurance Company. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Bob Dunn of Ormond Beach, FL; granddaughter Deron Moore and her husband, Darrin of Daytona Beach, FL; great-granddaughter, Lacy Kircher and great grandson Noah Moore. Also surviving Mr. Hood is his brother Edward T. Hood, sister Bessie L. Hood, both of Douglasville, Ga., niece Renee Clark, nephew Art Hood, two great nephews and six great nieces. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Graveside service will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at Mozley Memorial Gardens at two o’clock with Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent to www.jones-wynn.com.
