Ronald Edward Smith, Sr.

Ronald Edward Smith, Sr., age 63, of Buchanan, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at his residence in Buchanan. He was born August 2, 1947 in Atlanta Georgia. Following the death of his parents at an early age, he was raised by the late Rubie Smith and the late Clara and Jack Smith. He worked as an agriculture surveyor and an automotive foreman rebuilding alternators. He is survived by his step daughters and sons-in-laws, Melissa and Chris Bankston of Temple, Tonia and Greg Smith of Adairsville; step sons, Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Smith, II of Temple, Heath Parks of Atlanta; sister, Willene Smith of Atlanta; brother, Dwight Smith of Atlanta; special friend and caregiver, Ruby Fleming of Buchanan; four grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
