Ronald Harris

Ronald Michael Harris affectionately known as "Punchy", 56 years old departed this life on Sunday December 4, 2011, after a long illness. He was the oldest of five children born to Allen and Mary Harris on December 6, 1954. He was educated in the New York City Parochial School System, graduating from Saint Thomas the Apostle Elementary School and Saint Raymond High School in the Bronx, New York. He later attended Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia.He worked for the United States Postal Service of New York City and after many years of service retired. Ronald married Maryland Williams on August 20, 1988. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Maryland; his mother Mary Harris, Three Sons, Javone, Anthony and Lamont, Two Daughters, Larnise and Charlene; Two Brothers, Anthony Harris and Charles Harris; Two Sisters, Karen Harris and Laverne Jones; and a host of grandchildren; Two Uncles, Joseph Martin (Ann) and James Martin (Marva); Two Aunts, Dorothy Faison and Gloria Sims, a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends; and a host of Special Friends from 145th Street New York, NY, and Washington Avenue, Bronx, New York. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, December 9, 2011 from 2:00 PM until the service time at 4:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 9, 2011 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Evangelist Tangela Brooks officiating.
