Ronald Lewis Allen

Mr. Ronald Lewis Allen, age 68, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center following an extended illness. He was born January 28, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Lewis Osborne Allen and the late Mrs. Emily Bell Allen. He worked as a telephone installer for RCA for over 25 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 264 of Mableton. He is survived by his wife, Gail Greene Allen of Lithia Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Monica Ashley and Daniel Gibbs of Hiram; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Sean Massey of Temple; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Shannon Miller of Dallas; two sisters and brother-in-law, Anita and Donnie Dillard of Waco and Ann Stowers of Austell; his aunt, Dot Miller of Mableton; mother-in-law, Mrs. Faye Greene of Douglasville; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Daniell officiating. Musical selections of “Peace in the Valley” and “Amazing Grace” will be provided by Chad Daniell. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Wayne Stowers, Mike Stowers, Chuck Stowers, Wade Dillard, Tony Lee and Roy Daniell. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
