Ronnie Gary Capes, 73, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. He was born in Carrollton, Georgia on April 20, 1952, son of the late Mr. J.C. Capes and the late Mrs. Martha Lee Latimer Capes.
Ronnie lived a full and fulfilling life marked by creativity, hard work, and a deep passion for the outdoors. For over 50 years, Ronnie dedicated himself to the construction industry as a machine operator, where his expertise and dedication were truly commendable. He was known for his remarkable talent—he could build anything.
Outside of his career, Ronnie embraced life fully, indulging in his hobbies and interests, which included hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. These hobbies brought him joy and adventure, allowing him to connect with nature and create lasting memories with friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Stephen Wayne Capes and sister, Linda Capes Evans.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle and John Archambault of Temple and Lisa Glover of Smyrna; son, Scott Glover of Smyrna; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Larry Collins of Temple and Kathy Thompson (Larry Maney) of Bremen; grandchildren, Hannah and Eric Sartin of Woodland, and B.J. Anderson of Cedartown; five great-grandchildren, Star-ann, Izaiah, Amber, Ehren, and Erica; numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 PM with Bro. David Gresham officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Garden of Memories.
As we remember Ronnie Gary Capes, we celebrate a life well lived, filled with love, creativity, and the indelible mark he left on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
