Ronnie Lee Ackerman

Mr. Ronnie Lee Ackerman, age 73 of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021. He was born May February 28, 1948 in Marietta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. George Collier Ackerman and the late Mrs. Pauline Saffell. He was a member of the American Cowboy Association, and an award winning chuck wagon cook. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Amy Ackerman. Mr. Ackerman is survived by his wife, Marsha Dunn Ackerman of Douglasville, Georgia; son, John Ackerman of Canton, Georgia; Stepson and daughter-in-law, Keith Strickland and Pam Strickland of Douglasville, Georgia; Brother, Tommy Ackerman and Pam Ackerman of Jasper, Georgia. Seven grandchildren; Timothy, Cody, Todd, Chris, Bobby, Allie, and Shay; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory in Douglasville, Monday, November 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville at 11:00 AM with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Cemetery, with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, John Ackerman, Cody Ackerman, Timothy Ackerman, Todd Ackerman, Keith Strickland and Steve Gamwell.
