Ronnie Dean Wilkie, 80, of Carrollton, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. He was born on December 8, 1944, the son of the late George Harrison Wilkie and the late Pearl Mabel Wallace Wilkie.

Ronnie cherished the moments he spent with those he loved. Throughout his life, Ronnie demonstrated an unwavering love for music, dancing and crafting model planes or trains, Ronnie’s creative talents were evident in everything he undertook. Ronnie had a passion for the cowboy lifestyle and he was a” Jack of All Trades.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brad Wilkie; brothers, Chuck Wilkie, Jerry Wilkie, Gerald Wilkie, and Jimmy Wilkie; sister, Geneva Hannah.

He is survived by his children, Ron Wilkie of Whitesburg, GA, Tommy and Laurie Wilkie of Woodland, AL, Ben Wilkie and his fiancé Kristie Mayne of Tallapoosa, GA and Susan Wilkie of Roanoke, AL; twin sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Billy Carter of Powder Springs, GA; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a ton of nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of life service on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Anglican Church in Douglasville.

The family would like to thank Willowbrook Hospice, Carrollton Nursing and Rehab and friends who loved and supported him.

In lieu of flowers, his family humbly requests that blanket donations be made for the elderly in nursing facilities.
