Rosa Lee Reese Wentz, age 95, of Lithia Springs passed away, Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was born May 16, 1928 in Crawfordville, GA to the late Mr. Marion Augustus Reese and the late Mrs. Celia Ann Hendricks.
Rosa Lee lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication. She touched the lives of many through her unwavering commitment to her church and her long-standing career at Southern Bell spanning over 37 years. Her involvement in the Telephone Pioneers Club showcased her passion for connecting with others and making a difference in the world around her. Rosa Lee will be fondly remembered as a devoted member of the Doers Sunday School Class at Beulah Baptist Church. Her faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her actions and shaping her interactions with those she encountered. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Paul Henry Wentz; son, Hal Wentz; brothers, Babe Reese, John Reese; sisters, Verna Mae Nunn, Lucy Higdon, Hazel Davis.
She is survived by her sons, Henry (Becky) Wentz of McDonough, Marion Wentz of Lithia Springs; grandchildren, Brian (Marissa) Wentz of Barnesville, Todd (Jody) Wentz of Locust Grove, Amy (Brian) Nix of McDonough, Kara (Joshua) Cole of Newnan; great grandchildren, Emma Matta, Isabel Wentz, Jackson Wentz, Brice Nix, Emilie Wentz, Owen Nix, Ira Cole, Harvey Cole and Gillen Cole.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Todd Wentz officiating. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
