Mrs. Rosalyn Elizabeth Brittain Hogan, 80, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015. A native of Douglasville, Georgia, she was born February 20, 1935 the daughter of the late Mr. Aubrey Tyre Brittain and the late Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Dodson Brittain. She was part of the All State Basketball team for Douglas County High School. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. An avid gardener, she was blessed with a green thumb. She was devoted to family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Batten. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Marvin Hogan of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Bill Reed of Douglasville; sons and a daughter-in-law, James Edward Hogan of Bremen and Tony and Cindy Hogan of Lithia Springs; sisters, Martha Bragg of Winston and Ernestine Huff of Nashville; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. According to her wishes, her body was cremated. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
