Rovane Fritz Timmons

Rovane Fritz Timmons, 59, of Temple, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. He was born on December 13, 1966, the son of Irene Gegenfurtner Timmons and the late Virgil Timmons.

Rovane’s life was marked by an unwavering dedication to his family, and a profound love for his daughters. He shared his testimony with others through his self-written autobiography, Courage Strength and Determination. He was a man of faith, and Rovane attended services at New Georgia Baptist.

Rovane found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He could often be found working outside in his yard or fishing. Above all, Rovane cherished the special moments spent playing games and checkers with his girls, creating memories they will carry with them always.

Those who knew Rovane remember him as a loving father and a devoted family man. His deep love for his family and the strength of his character left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Virgil Timmons; nephew, Shon Harper.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Sonogan Timmons; daughters, Rovana Timmons and Isabelle Timmons both of Temple; mother, Irene Timmons of Villa Rica; sister, Sonnya Timmons of Tallapoosa.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 10, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel on Sunday, July 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Keith Stell officiating. Interment will follow at Ephesus Baptist Church.

Rovane Fritz Timmons will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain alive in the hearts of family and friends.
