Roy Harris

Mr. Roy William Harris, 75, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. He was born August 18, 1941 in Cumming, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Toy Harris and the late Mrs. Carrie Heard Harris. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Sales Manager at Pro Sales. He loved dancing, especially with his late wife, Jane. He was an avid fisherman, enjoying fishing with his sons and grandson. He loved his dogs, Fred and Maggie Mae. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jane McDaniel Harris on October 12, 2016; sisters, Lillian Harris Willard, Dot Woods, Katie Wigington, and Marie Harris. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Darlene Harris of Douglasville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Casey and April Harris of Carrollton and Alan Keith and Cheryl Harris of Douglasville; two sisters, Betty Harris of Cumming and Ruby Adcock of Jasper; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Kate Redfern, Taylor Davis, Cameron Harris, and Mackenzie Harris; two great-grandchildren, Angel Marie Davidson and Heaven Leigh Bracewell; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Cecil Davis officiating.
