Roy Monroe Lingefelt

Mr. Roy Monroe Lingefelt, age 75, of College Park, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Kindred Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness. He was born August 7, 1935 in Forsyth, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Homer Lingefelt and the late Mrs. Mary Jones Lingefelt. He worked security for Mayfield Ice Cream Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Barry W. Lingefelt and Marla Sewell-Maddox. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Jessica Lingefelt of Douglasville and Michael Lingefelt of Douglasville, James A. and Karen D. Lingefelt of Douglasville;; daughter, Lydia Harris of Rockmart; brother and sister-in-law, James and Ursula Lingefelt of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Labreeska Lingefelt, Kenny Sewell, Shannon Thompson, Shawn Thompson, Ethan Lingefelt, Lillian Lingefelt, Tyler Crowe, Roger Harris, Jr., Ryan Harris, and Holly Harris; several nieces and nephews also survive.
