Ruby Colleen Pitts Hix

Mrs. Ruby Colleen Pitts Hix, 92, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabiliation Center following an extended illness. She was born April 16, 1916 in Canton, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Martin E. Pitts and the late Mrs. Victoria Mowell Pitts. She was of the Christian Faith and was a very active church member. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hix; her daughter, Vicki C. Hix on September 8, 2008; and her siblings. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Patric and Toni Hix of Douglasville; two grandchildren, Kelley H. Hix and Kyle P. Hix; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Minister Larry Musick officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
