Ruby Faye Haynes

Mrs. Ruby Faye Haynes, 96, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. A Douglas County native, she was born June 19, 1911 the daughter of the late Mr. William R. Marlow and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Stringfellow Marlow. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville. She was a homemaker and did private childcare. She was lovingly called “Nanny” by those that knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Joseph Ray Webb, second husband, Milton Swofford; third husband, Obie Haynes; her beloved son, Charles Thomas Webb and son-in-law, Selwyn Wesley Holland. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Holland of Douglasville; granddaughter and her husband, Kim and Alan Shepherd; three great grandchildren, Heather McElroy, Holly Shepherd and Wesley Shepherd; one great-great grandchild, Alayna McElroy. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Gibbs and Rev. Stephen Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Douglasville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
